hi i am wondering if any1 knows how i can use heroes on my prophecies char because it is only letting me use them on my pvp char can any1 help me here plz

Talk to Lionguard Figo in Lion`s Arch and take the quest Sunspears in Kryta. Once you complete that quest and take the next one, you should unlock Koss, Dunkoro, Melonni and Tahlkora in the middle of the quest. The rest of the heroes you unlock as you progress in the storyline.

Just to elaborate a little, it sounds like you have unlocked heroes for use in PvP...that doesn't make them accessible in PvE. To unlock heroes in PvE you need to complete the quests to pick them up on each character.

they work kinda like elite skills, just because they're unlocked for the account wont help you learn them for your pve toons.
